Head Coaching Candidates for Next Year

Postby MFFL02 » Sat Sep 06, 2014 2:21 pm

Josh Heupel? Kurt Roper? Philip Montgomery? Jake Spavital? Who are the candidates? I want someone younger with energy rather than an established guy who has bounced around. Would Lane Kiffin consider SMU if we offered him enough money?

Thoughts?

We're not getting Kiffin (he'll be at Bama until another P5 job comes along) but we definitely should be pursuing younger, up and coming candidates. Need some youth and ambition back in this program ASAP. No more old MFers trying to run out the clock while using this program as their own personal retirement piggy bank.

Nobody want to coach at this dumpster fire. We aren't going to get anyone sought after.

Wrong. We will have a line down the street. Easiest program to turn around in the country.

Let a different local hs coach do each game. Build up goodwill for next coach.

Turn around and then make it worse than it was when you started. You know, if the fans don't show up in droves to see a directional Florida school come to town all of a sudden

There are a hundred assistant coaches who would love a chance to be a head coach anywhere in D1.

Add Tom Herman to that list which is a good list. And I would hope that they would at least give Chad Morris a call.

Chad Morris. Nice man, good offensive strategy, young and full of energy, and strong Texas high school ties. Make it happen
