Dude the extension allowed for a cheaper exit for June..his manager didn't like the new terms and shopped Jones everywhere and didn't get any traction.....they finally had to sign it. He is out much cheaper....he will be off to Hawaii soon I bet.

I think he is saying that if JJ didn't sign it that his contract would have been over this year anyway. So we could have simply let the contract expire this year.

No because the contact expired next July 1st in 2015 anyway. It was financially a no go except for new terms.
