He clearly undertands the offense better than the other 2, i can't believe the staff didn't know that already
there are about 8 wide receivers that are all the same just keep rotating them
and who in god's name is our special team coach

Agree. Only one who came close to looking the part of a D1 QB.

Our offense is too complicated and dumb all at the same time

Doesn't matter who lines up behind center when 37 wide receivers and 5 running backs can't catch the ball. Doesn't help that every single receiver seems to, consistently, be 3-4 inches shorter than any player covering them.

Did anyone else notice the lack of velocity on Burcham's throws? Injury or weak arm? Cassel threw much better. He just needs experience.

Exactly, the run and shoot is a gimmick that no longer offers any kind of edge. The real question will be , do we have a QB that play in the next coaches system quickly.

Cassel has a gun, but Burcham is trying to place the ball instead of throw it.

Davis and Colbert would be good fits for any system but pass heavy ones like the R&S or Air Raid. The rest are paperweights.

Don't forget about Severt. He may have the best overall combination of size, arm, athleticism, and brains of the whole group. A Gilbert clone according to his teammates.
Cassel strictly an arm, definitely best fit for June's system but this system is long gone.
Davis a zone read athlete trying to play QB
Colbert seemed to have have both in HS but his Senior year was truly lacking and he is a small QB
The kid committed for next year seems to have promise, 6'3", but 50/50 to stay committed if June canned.

I felt Burcham made very poor decisions. Threw into traffic often. However, when he connected there were too many drops, much like year before last. Receivers not open. Davis doesn't look ready. So by default it might be Cassel. The Oline played much better and should not shoulder the blame for this one. I think we all can see, barring an amazing turn around, that JJ will be gone next year... so maybe we can stop that ad nauseam noise on this board?

What seems so obvious still won't happen.

It angers me no end that the powers that be let this thing continue in its present form. This shows a complete disregard for the long suffering fans.

If JJ doesn't have a good year this year (and its looking like he won't) I believe he will be let go. I can't see SMU accepting movement backward at this time. On the other hand, if he somehow beats TCU etc. he will be back.

I nominate this post for most asinine, uninformed, and living in a hole, post of the day.
Did you watch yesterday? Beat TCU? Are you Big12 FTHP?
