What HS coach...

Postby RGV Pony » Sun Sep 07, 2014 1:59 pm

... Is currently a position coach at a Big XII school who had state championships at HS level and moved up? I'm talking about someone like Briles when he was at Tech. Did well at Stephenville then went the college level. Same as Graham right before he went to Tulsa. Anyone like that? IMO that's our guy

Jinks at Texas Tech, was coach at cibolo Steele and Kingsburys first hire to be RB coach. Immediately got Jordan stocker to switch to Tech from Texas, along with other big DL. Is beloved at Judson and Steele, as posted before our neighbor whose DC at rival high school said jinks can get almost anyone he wants in this area to at least now give tech a look

Chad Morris fits all of the criteria (minus the BigXII).
Won 3 state titles at 2 different schools before making the jump to Tulsa and then Clemson

Agree 147 I'm just assuming we might be well advised to set our sights on someone for 800-1MM which is prob a rung beneath morris

We are going to have to take a gamble on someone exactly like Beaty. Sign him up and bring Claude Mathis in as an assistant. That could be an immediate program changer.

Morris makes 1.2 million not 2.1 million. At least call him and try. If he says no go to the next guy but at least try. You never know until you try.
