We're #2 this week -- right behind Michigan

SMU: It took until the last play of the Mustangs' second game — a full 120 minutes of action — to score their first points of the season. Needless to say, the vital signs of June Jones' tenure are not good. SMU's 45-0 loss to Baylor in Week 1 was to be expected, but backing that up with a 43-6 loss to North Texas was not. There is far too much back story here for the Misery Index to address all of it, but the simmering tension between Jones and SMU's fan base/administration has been front and center ever since it looked like he was headed Arizona State following the 2011 season, only to have that school decide at the 11th hour to hire Todd Graham instead.

The narratives attached to Jones since then by the SMU fan base haven't been flattering. Is he working hard enough in recruiting? Is he spending too much time in Hawaii, where he still owns a home? Fair or not, those are the kinds of questions that get asked when you make roughly $2 million per year at an American Athletic Conference school and produce the kind of results we've seen recently.

WSU looks horrible as well this year. Whodathunked it would be harder to recruit to Pullman, WA than Lubbock,TX?
