SMU director of athletics Rick Hart and president R. Gerald Turner met the media Monday night to discuss the resignation of June Jones, the appointment of defensive coordinator Tom Mason as interim head coach and the upcoming search for a permanent replacement.

Whoever made that Alpha dog comment about Turner is both hilarious and spot on. It was very uncomfortable to watch. Hart made me so so nervous for him. I could not believe how afraid of Turner Hart was......WOW

Anyone who has ever met with the media (or company employees for that matter) along with their boss knows that you follow the boss's lead and support him/her as necessary. I have no problem with the way this was handled other than Hart's response to the question of whether they were disappointed by the 0-2 start. That answer was a no brainer and a really stupid question. I would have preferred an acknowledgement that "of course we are disappointed...no one more so than the coaching staff and players who have invested so much of their time and energy into being successful". Didn't need to dance with that one
