This rumor was brought up on the VolNation message board and the Vol fans seemed incredulous. I warn y'all not to hire DD,he did severe damage to the Tennessee program that Butch Jones is having a hell of a time to fix(example putting no effort into recruiting). He also seemed completely incapable of putting together a game plan or making adjustments as the game went on. I just thought I'd warn y'all since I saw what he did to the Tennessee program. Nice message board by the way.

I warned everyone to be careful what you wished for. I agree that JJ needed to go - but I am not at all convinced that what comes in to replace will be any better....

Why would we hire a guy that was fired for being a dismal failure?

We are not hiring a coach for a few more months. Please don't feed the trolls or contribute to any rumormongering on who our new coach will be. They haven't even begun the process of finding the next coach. I just hope they don't use that ridiculous "search firm" who tried to get JJ hired by ASU.
