I'm hearing #SMU starting QB Neal Burcham is out for the season. Add that on top of June Jones resigning. #PonyUp

Wow. I thought he was hurt, not injured.

If true, how much of that is to give the kid a medical redshirt so he can transfer after the season?

Shrug. I hope he is OK, but it doesn't mean much as for the team's prospects

Let's put Davis in and run some sort of option offense. I don't think I can bear another -20 yard scramble with a blind heave up in the air to the line of scrimmage again.

If anything, it helps it.

Didn't I see that Davis was also hurt Saturday?

Hope this is nothing major and he makes a full recovery, BUT this is actually perfect for Mason. This offense was going absolutely nowhere with Burcham in the R&S.

Gives him the perfect reason to make bigger changes to the offense and let's him pick which QB best fits what's HE wants to accomplish. More of a pro-style with Cassel or Severt? More of a Pistol/spread-option with Davis or Colbert?

More positive excitement for the A&M debut of Mason.

I don't want to be a downer, but I see absolutely no reason to be excited about A&M.

I for one, even as I sit through the expected 40-50+ point loss, will sit there with a smile on my face the entire game knowing there is finally light at the end of the tunnel.
