An interesting little article about the former SMU coach Hal Mumme and his offensive scheme.

Wish he were still here. A co-worker and I were JUST talking about this yesterday and he sent me the article. Couldn't find any mention of SMU though. GG broke all of SMU's passing records while Mumme was here.

NAIA actually, and he has done his best work in the lower divisions.

Hal has them 2-1 coming off a 4pt road loss to the #4 team in NAIA. Belhaven was 3-8 last year.

Mumme was responsible for us having the quicker, horizontal passing attack at the beginning of the year. After our struggles running the ball, June started going more vertical and it opened up the field. June took the playcalling back before the Rutgers game...

The announcers were saying during the UCF game that June told them that Mumme called the first 30 to 40 plays and then June would call the rest of the game.

Belhaven is actually D-3 and Conner Preston is one of his QB's. Saw them play Texas College.

I thought Preston had some kind of career ending injury?
