Serious question: Who could this team beat?

No fbs team for sure. Probably not the majority of fcs teams. I'm pretty sure they'd lose to a good high school team (and I always laugh at people who say so and so college team could beat an nfl team)

Not Southwest Texas St. They are beating Illinois, 14-6.

we will find out whether they can play with Memphis and USF. Probably our best chances to be competitive this year

This was going to be a hopeless cause, we all knew that. Not a lot Mason can do with two weeks. I am hoping by AAC play the team starts to show something different.
Yes I am reaching for a silver lining.

After watching the first of this game, I'd say we'll be competitive with the bottom half of the AAC. Might not win any, but should be competitive.

We are playing with FCS talent; will be tough to compete this year but I still think there will be 3-4 games that will be close before the season is done

WE did show improvement this game against a very talented A$M team. There is a chance against less talented teams to be competitive. I wouldn't give up on this team just yet.

And this team is no were near as bad as some Caven and Bennett teams.

Did any of the Bennet or Cavan teams average 4 points a game three games into the season?

What is really frustrating is we keep hearing (and seeing) that this is a young team. Why is it young? Because they recruited DIR players for several years and the new DIRs replace the old DIRs who didn't pan out. Whoever takes over this team has their work cut out. There are only a handful of players that really should be playing at this level. I think something similar to the BB program is going to have to happen to the FB program. Housecleaning!

I just wish we could be competitive for a half or so. A lot of terrible teams can hang with big programs for 25minutes. Not us.
I wish we had the firepower of...oh I dont know...georgia southern.
