Really great to see another Thomas Morestead in the making.

He had a really nice 52 yard punt...unfortunately it didn't have as much hang time as earlier punts and therefore allowed for a 25 yard return.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Noticeable difference compared to the 8 yard shank punts last year.

Doesn't matter if he's 90lbs, he was arguably our best player yesterday. Heard this exact comment yesterday from more than one person in the stands.

He was great and will have a great career at SMU. At least we've found our punter for the next 4 years.

I only recall 1 punt that was a little week, but it took a nice SMU roll. He had a couple of 50 plus, I remember the 55 yarder into the wind. Currently, this is not a position concern of ours. Many times in the first half, his punts kept the field from flipping on us.

Yeah. Punting is the least of our worries at this point. More worried he'll be used up by mid season if the O doesn't improve.

I think you meant that his punts looked great, not that he looked great.

That said he is a freshman - hoping some time under a weight bench wont mess up his yardage on punts. Gotta give kudos to whoever had him come on campus - you know he has had to overcome his weight with every coach he has ever had.

He will definitely get plenty of attempts. He may have so many punts this year, they might consider him a JR next year.

I thought he has looked very good through 3 games, especially as a freshmen.

Good leg.
Frail body.

Hope he never gets hit, I'm afraid of what might happen.
