One positive from the game...
Posted: Sun Sep 28, 2014 12:52 amI happened to run into an old SMU friend of mine in the concourse. I asked if she came to all the games. She said this was her first SMU game in 8 years.
Turns put her son has MS and they were at the game because of the Coach to Cure MD. Their family got a tour and to meet the coaches and players. She said they were all great and was thankful SMU made it a great day for them.
The kids were all decked out in SMU gear and got to go down on the field. And despite the score their family stayed to the bitter end.
Just remember there is more serious challenges in life than a football game. And remember that our guys made at least one family happy today. Much more important in the long run than the score.
