good list if you take off mack. I put him with the charlie weis, brady hoke, and jim tressel types. They might be ok coaches but not for us.

Jake is becoming more appealing to me, partly because he strikes me as a bit of a bad [deleted], which I think our fan base could use. We will all need to relearn how to be fans when we gear back up, including going to the game to the end.

I would add Beatty to the list.

Your #1 and 2 are right on! I hope we can add Beatty somewhere on staff.

Can we stop the Mack talk? He is enjoying golf at Crenshaw's private club and guesting on ESPN. I can't imagine at this stage of his life he would want to move and start all over. Isn't his wife a real estate whiz in Austin too.

I am just a hillbilly from Arkansas so I am not smart enough to predict what will happen but we may want to keep our eye open for some P-5 hot seat head coaches. Just because their britches get hot at a P-5 school does not mean they could not do well in our conference. Someone like a Muschamp. I am not suggesting him because I am not sure he has shown he can handle being a head coach but I am talking about the iffiness of his position. Are there any candidates out there like that?

Brady Hoke is on the hot seat at Michigan but previously had moderate success with a couple of non-power schools. Of course his tenure at Michigan has exposed some serious competency issues.

Montgomery, he has spent his whole career, coaching and recruiting in Texas. Plus, he develops qb after qb in that scoring machine that Baylor runs. We could get him for less money than Morris.

OU has just as good of an offense as anyone else. And he recruits the DFW area.

it wasn't exactly bad before him, he is the co-OC, not the whole OC, and has only done it for 2 years.
