If you don't know, the California schools are essentially broker. Furthermore, the people of California are skeptical of any spending on athletics.

Reading the attached link, I wonder if we could convince Sonny Dykes to come home to Texas.

Downside - He could decide to hold onto the Cal job until Kingsbury gets fired (1-2 years max).

Maybe SMU should go after Dennis Allen since he was fired from the Raiders yesterday. And since we have some posters that want us to get a coach that was fired from somewhere else.

Dykes hasn't been fired. Considering what he inherited, he seems to be doing a nice job.

BTW -given its current ownership, I don't think that Vince Lombardi could coach the Raiders. They are hopeless.

Administrators wouldn't allow him. His name is not politically correct.

Dennis Allen has still 2 years on his contract, so wonder if he would be willing to give up that money? Good choice otherwise.

By the way, in the list you compiled all those coaches were assistants at one time before becoming a head coach.

I too sense some restless natives in Lubbock....
Hard to believe the honeymoon could already be over?
The "rock star" better win some big games or you could be right.
