Oregon has experience issues on the O line and had trouble protecting the QB. In addition, the Oregon defense is somewhat average. They rely on the potent offense to score 35 plus to make up for the defense giving up 25 or more points. Last night they were exposed by a solid AZ team who made less mistakes. A controversial unsportsman like penalty was called on an Oregon corner after a sack with less than 3 minutes and a tied score. He jumped up raising his hands then bowed to the Oregon student section. He was flagged giving AZ a first down on the Oregon 8 yard line allowing them to score the winning TD instead of trying a 40 yd. field goal with an inexperienced kicker.

I also find it interesting that Houck at Michigan had 2 good years with Rodriguez recruits before running into real trouble this year. Now, Rodriguez has started to restock AZ who is 5-0 on the season and this team will vie for the PAC 10 title. Expect Oregon to lose at least 1 more conference game as they will not make it through USC, UCLA or Stanford.

Oregon doesn't play USC in the regular season, but they go to UCLA next week and host Stanford on 11/1. Arizona hosts USC next week and plays at UCLA on 11/1.

Not to be confused with slim pickins.

Most of Oregon's starting offensive line is injured.

Sounds like it was a good game.

What's telling, however, is that if you take a look at the comments in the ESPN article about the game it takes about 2 seconds to see the SEC debate begin, and it comes from people who aren't SEC fans.

That conference is in everybody's head.

At some point in the pregame or game commentary, it was mentioned that Oregon has the worst OLine in the country (injuries/inexperience, etc.)
Obviously those commentators have not seen SMU.
You think Michigan is wishing Rich Rod was their coach?
