Some new players doing well

I'll take the foot out of my mouth long enough to say Barns and Myers have drastically outplayed Lsecki and McCarty. Big difference not having a collapse in the middle of the pocket.

Kristic still doesn't have arm strength but gutsy and accurate today.

If we could find a way to replace Bordano and HG on defense and move Yenga outside we might have something....

KC can suffice at RB. Move Pope back to D. we need his leadership on D.

Yep, Pope back to middle and Yenga outside. Running game is non-existent so Pope being totally wasted. Another genius June Jones move gone awry.

Something has to happen at MLB and the one safety spot.

D Rich really had some strong hits today. Got beat on one pass but I thought he was pretty solid.

I wonder if Lasecki gets moved to guard in the bye week. I think Barns played that well.

Changes I would like to see after the bye: Barns stays starting, Lasecki to guard, Horton and Tui in the middle. Replace Seals with Yenga. HG replaced by Shak if we can get corners healthy. Otherwise replace him with Justice.

QB is going to be a real pinch. I bet the coaches expected someone else to grab the job during the bye, probably Davis. I don't think you can replace Kristic after that game, but he can't really throw the ball down the field and realisitically should have thrown 4 INTs today.

Barns did well. Held his ground much better than we have been seeing. Plus, he is an extremely smart and motivated kid. Brings some HP winning attitude. good job Barns.

Lasecki a little overrated? Part of new coaching staffs re-evaluation of every player at every position. Things may look very different next year.

did Barns play well or did they just go with the quicker designed route. QB didn't hold the ball after 2nd Q. There was absolutely zero push in center of line

I think the new center and guard were helped out by the lower level of competition today. I don't think they would fared as well against TCU or aTm. The interior of line has played decent. The two tackles are the weakest point of the line.

50 yards rushing

I don't see this line creating much space for the RBs. The only way they get any space is running in passing situations where the line can block passively. They aren't going to blow anyone off the line.

Barns has perfect form. That will win most of the battles, even if out manned.

Mason needs to pull the trigger in this. Pope is wasted at RB.

KC is a good back. We need to give him some more time and get pope back at LB.

KC had 83 yards rushing and receiving. Get him on the field. #FreeNlemchi
