Don't overlook Mike Norvell

Norvell worked at Tulsa under HC Todd Graham with OC Gus Malzahn and latter with Chad Morris when Malzahn went to Auburn as HC. Norvell was the passing game coordinator in the Chad Morris attack.
When Graham left for Arizona Norvell went with him but Morris went to Clemson. In Arizona Norvell became the OC and is using the best of his own ideas Malzahn's principals and Morris schemes. This is why Auburn's, Clemson's and Arizona's offenses look similar.
Norvell is a good recruiter including in Texas. Irving Texas is his home town. Take a look.

Good post. FYI - ASU, not 'Zona. The latter is Rich Rod

Just reminds you that the Littl' Turd Todd Graham really knew how to put a staff together-and at the time it was the youngest in Division 1A. His Coaching tree is pretty outstanding for such a young guy.

Your right calallenstang, in my hurry forget the State after Arizona, thanks.
Your right as well Stallion, Graham does have an impressive coaching tree. Shows what he thinks of Norvell as well moving him from passing coach to OC and now assistant HC. So far I don't see any hints of dark clouds hiding in the closet that some potential HC's might bring.

I remember when I used to post why don't we hire this Todd Graham kid that keeps getting Metroplex kids to commit to West Virginia

Mike Norvell, you get a lot of Gus Malzahn, Chad Morris and hopefully some of the ability that Todd Graham has putting a staff together.
If you haven't yet check out the tidbits that insane pony put in his post do it. You might find it interesting.

Looks like a more competent version of Kingsbury

Mike Norvell has done well this year. Morris has been struggling and Norvell will certainly be cheaper $$

i don't think we are judging these guys on how their team does this year. Its their body of work, ability to convince that you can recruit a staff, recruit players and run a staff and a program. way bigger job than just OC .

Former ADs of Westlake and Lake Travis really like Morris to SMU. Also said Mack would be a disaster

Morris would be good, but Norvell looks like a longer term guy over here.
