Cincinnati should be already prepared to deal with our crowd noise this week after facing it last week in Miami...

Image

Guess we aren't the only ones with attendance problems.. but this crowd was bigger than anything we have ever had at Ford (official attendance announced as 43,953 :?: :?: )

It appears this photograph was taken an hour or two before game time, which may explain
why only the band is on the field.

Yes this looks like Band camp and missing the important element of football players, coaches, officials and cheerleaders

So those would be band member parents siting in the stands 1 to 2 hours before the game? Perhaps it is half time.

No, the band is standing in a circle, which is common for warming up or tuning. This was definitely before the game.

This link has more pics, many during the game. This one is obviously pregame.

Still really bad. Just more proof that Miami is the worst sports town in the country.

The knock on the Hurricane's fan support has always been that it is a mile wide and an inch deep.

Did you, as an SMU fan, really just say this? Unless teams are winning, how supportive is the average Dallas fan? Like Miami, fans around here show up for a winner and for NFL games...that's about it.

Florida in general is the worst sports state in the country. See Tampa Bay Rays, Bucs. Florida Panthers. Even the end zones at dolphins games are empty. Can't wait to see what kind of crowd the Heat bring this year...hahah

They have 1000 things to do on a saturday/sunday that don't involve sitting in a stadium for 4 hours.

Yep. And what does me being an SMU fan have anything to do with it? SMU attendance is irrelevant. We're not in a major conference and we make no effort to appeal to Dallas. Why would any Dallas sports fan care about SMU football? The Dallas Mavericks have the longest sellout streak in pro sports, 514 straight games. The Dallas Cowboys have sold out every game for the past 24 years, 160 straight games. The Rangers have been top 10 in MLB in attendance the past 5 seasons. Since TCU has been in the Big XII they've sold out every game I believe. In 2011 the Sporting News ranked DFW the best sports town in the country.

Not of one of the Miami teams can sniff that. It's not even up for debate. They have horrible attendance - this year the Marlins had the 4th worst attendance in MLB, Rangers with the 2nd worst record were 9th in attendance. The Dolphins we're 21st in attendance last season, at 8-8, Cowboys were 1st. Florida Panthers had the 2nd worst attendance in the NHL, Stars were 17th. The Heat as champs with LeBron still didn't sellout every game, and we know about leaving early in the finals against SA in 2013 then trying to get back in.
