For some reason I really like Lincoln Riley.

It can be a DC if that DC is Kirby Smart. But he isn't walking through that door.

A little concerning that Morris having major struggles now that his roster not filled with NFL draft picks?

A bit of the Sumlin/Spavital syndrome without Johnny Football?

Just a question, not sure if it's fair or not.

They had a key injury at QB. The backup is not very good.

T Boyd may have been drafted by the Jets, but he was not close to being a NFL QB. From the first day of camp, he was nowhere close to making the roster or even the practice squad. (Another wasted pick by John Idzik aka "The Idziot"). They NY Sportswriters mocked Boyd's performances in training camp.

When you see lists of hot coordinators ready to move up, they are almost all on the offensive side of the ball. 10 years ago, it was the opposite.

There are a few DC's out there. However, we live in an offense driven era.

Clemson's starter at the beginning of the season sucked and they pulled him for 5 Star Frosh Deshaun Watson, who set the record in the state of GA for TDs in high school. As DD said, he got hurt in the Cuse game and didn't factor in the UGA, SCST, L'ville games. With him in the lineup they are filthy.

Thanks. With a good QB, their offense is fine. With a bad one, not so much.

Unless there is a good, grad school transfer out there willing to step into a mess, the reality is that our new OC is most likely going to have at least 1 year with Burcham/Davis/Cassell/Sievert as his best QB option. It will be interesting to see if they can get good perfomance out of one of them.

Yeah there's no real scenario in which any of those four QBs will be our best option next year especially since some are likely to get run off by the new guy or see the writing on the wall and leave of their own volition.

well I've seen enough of Burchum, Cassell, Davis, Krtsch to know they aren't the answer. Whose next on the list. Severt step right up for your interview. Mr. Davis meet me in the Coaches offices while we have a long discussion about your future NFL chances (at WR or S)

We have 4 star Kearns still committed. Not that a true frosh is an answer at QB, but it seems to work pretty much everywhere else except here.

I said NFL draft picks, not starters or NFL QB's. Johnny football may never be an NFL starter either, who knows. The obvious point was that Boyd & Johnny were very, very good college QB's who provided a huge boost to the reputations of Morris, Sumlin & Spavital.

Only time will tell if it was the system/coach, or the player's that should get the bulk of the credit.

No telling if the new guy will even want Kearns, June was the only coach in FBS that offered him.
