...to visit my sister and go to the Auburn game.

Any Ole Miss fans out there (RebStang?) - anything I need to do while I'm in Oxford? I'm planning on going to Snackbar tomorrow for dinner.

Thanks and see y'all in Dallas in 2 weeks,

Harry

My Grandfather was an Ole Miss alum. Havent been back in a while, but if you are interested in literature at all there are some great bookstores there. Check to see if the William Faulkner home is open for tour. Not as boring as it sounds. If you were an Ole Miss fan I would tell you to wear a tie, preferably a bow tie, but I don't know what is appropriate for Auburn fans to wear on the road.

If RGT came back to Oxford the state of Mississippi might have its first lynching in decades.

If you read this tonight (not likely - if you're in Oxford tonight, you're already in paradise), here are some suggestions:

Ajax. Eat there. I don't care if you have to extend your stay. Possibly the most underrated restaurant in Oxford (to everyone except the people that are there often).

Taylor Grocery. Eat there. Go out Old Taylor Road for about 10 miles. It's in the tiny town of Taylor, Mississippi. Amazing catfish and very entertaining setting. Even on a Sunday people will brown bag it (no alcohol sales in Taylor - heck, no store to buy booze AT) and socialize on the porch of the building while they wait.

The Library. Don't do it. Cover tonight will likely hit $60. If you do, buy a beer from Tanner Mathis (former Ole Miss baseball player that's working there this offseason) and tip him well.

Rooster's. My favorite spot on a game weekend. Big balcony, live music inside. Upstairs and right across the street from Boure.

For tomorrow... Big Bad Breakfast is phenomenal but you will not get in at a reasonable time unless you get there EARLY. Pass it up and, if you desperately need breakfast, go to the Beacon. Classic greasy spoon.

Enjoy the Grove and, if you see this before you head out, send me a PM and I'll hook you up with some good people to tailgate with for a while. Big, big point: Do NOT have an open container on campus. Do NOT carry a case of beer in the open (put it in a cooler). Everyone uses red solo cups for a reason - the Ole Miss campus is "dry".

Best advice for an SMU alum going to an Ole Miss game? Wear an SMU shirt. Guaranteed free drinks.

I got home tonight feeling about as crushed about a football game as I ever have in my life... including ones I played in.

To be 100% honest, I'm just not sure either of my two schools are ever going to have a truly great season ever again... the feeling will pass but I am literally devastated after that game tonight.

Hope you didn't freeze as much as I did.

Really was hoping Ole Miss would pull it off, and they definitely had their chances. Goodness it was cold though.

Great article:

http://grantland.com/the-triangle/pain- ... the-grove/

Friday night, I went to Snackbar for dinner (FANTASTIC FOOD) and paid $40 to feel like a cattle at the Library.

I woke up early Saturday to run around the campus and through the Grove. I got to the Grove around 2. Let me tell you, it is by far and away the best tailgate I've ever been to. It was a blast.

Game was fantastic (outside of the loss) and the fact that it was FREEZING.

I encourage all of you to check the Grove off your bucket list.

I wore a button down, sweater, barbour jacket, gloves and a hat. Even with all of that (and half a Fifth of Bourbon), I was still freezing.
