There are so many things wrong with the team this year, where is the next coach even going to start?
We basically need an upgrade on everything in order to even win a couple of games. Is there any quick improvements that a coach could make based on the talent that we have now to make us somewhat competitive next year? If so, what would they be?

Move two QBs to Receiver-Matt Davis and Colbert

If possible bring in a bunch of jucos. New coach needs to clean house with these players but can only add so many each year.

Jucos and transfers can help overnight. one or two on each line. running back. find at least two new receivers. This team could get middle of the pack in AAC in very short order - not that you would describe that as good - but coming off the bottom rung in this league will not be that hard.

Just what we need Stallion- 2 more receivers. We already probably lead the nation in most receivers on scholarship.

Always start with the lines since that's where games are won and lost.

UConn worked UCF this past weekend with a converted WR at qb. We probably need to keep Colbert and Davis at qb. BC took a washout qb from University of Florida and moved to respectability with an "inaccurate" qb. Tennessee beat South Carolina with a running qb this weekend. That's the path that we need to take. It would take too long to recruit the line needed to protect the next Tom Brady in the pocket type of qb.

Still gotta upgrade the o-line plus get some bigger receivers that can block to do any of that.

So you're saying we need another JWill? I'm fine with that.

It just seems that we need way more than one off-season worth of moves to even be competitive. The talent level is remarkably low across the board. Hopefully we can pick up 10 or so Juco's though and figure out the QB situation.

Pipe dream: We get Chad Morris, and he brings in Chad Kelly, JUCO QB from EMCC (used to be at Clemson)

SMU will be lucky to have a Coach on JUCO signing date-I wouldn't count on more than a couple of leftovers or late qualifies in the spring
