It is all June. Tom Mason, for all of his faults, was a good guy who genuinely loved SMU. Best of luck to him in the future.

Honestly, I think it would be send a more powerful message for him to support the kids from the stands. A good number of these kids will lay the foundation for future success.

Should be but the record will reflect otherwise which is how June wanted it. Mason while folksy and well-meaning wasn't totally blameless in this.

True, but I think it speaks to Mason's character that he was willing to stick it through this season and not jump ship (which he easily could have)

Posted: Mon Dec 01, 2014 5:34 pmIf not for Tom Mason's defense we probably would've struggled to go bowling under June Jones. Our defense was far, far more consistent than our offense with its "guru" leading it.
