Is Morris the HC for Saturday's game? Is Mason still there?

No-we want him recruiting. We don't want him painted and tarnished with that brush

It should be all JJ's. I'm glad Hart mentioned that in the presser.

It is all June. Tom Mason, for all of his faults, was a good guy who genuinely loved SMU. Best of luck to him in the future.

We are going to win Saturday, but no, it will be Mason at the helm.

Absolutely agree.
Classy by Hart to mention that.

Honestly, I think it would be send a more powerful message for him to support the kids from the stands. A good number of these kids will lay the foundation for future success.

I loved how Tom Mason was mentioned and got an applause. A certain other coach that left this mess wasn't mentioned or thanked for his contributions, whatever they may have been, at all. Good.

Also, I'm glad JJ's name wasn't mentioned at all.

Mason took an impossible and thankless situation and did what he could to keep it above water. He deserves our thanks and gratitude.

Definitely. It has been brutal, but it could have been a lot worse...

Should be but the record will reflect otherwise which is how June wanted it. Mason while folksy and well-meaning wasn't totally blameless in this.

True, but I think it speaks to Mason's character that he was willing to stick it through this season and not jump ship (which he easily could have)

If not for Tom Mason's defense we probably would've struggled to go bowling under June Jones. Our defense was far, far more consistent than our offense with its "guru" leading it.
