Morris Will Stamp a Texas Brand Over SMU's Preppy Image

I was thinking yesterday just how different the image that Morris projects on the SMU brand name. So many Texans do not relate to our school. Now we have a spokesman that will. Big change.

When asked why SMU is the best place for him, he first said ... Dallas!

You mean a preppy culture like Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn, or any other deep south powerhouse program. The preppy thing is what it is.

That said, I do think Chad Morris will make us a lot more relatable to the non Park Cities crowd. He exudes all things Texas where June exuded all things pineapple. I have no doubt the man will be a relentless salesman of this university.

Put the right people and resources to it and the Mustangs could become Dallas' Team, instead of the frogs over in Ft. Worth.

Patterson has had free rein to take over the entire Metroplex because of the lack of competition from June & Co. Time to take Dallas back, one fan at a time.

Ha thanks Coach Morris for my new signature-I've been itchin' to get rid of any mention of the old one. Although you can go a little farther on a full tank of gas

I would be beyond happy if we had a fanbase as loyal and dedicated as theirs.

Excellent.

Morris wants to be in Dallas, Texas. The old coach never left Hawaii. I love everything about this hire, and the Whataburger comment was priceless.
