Yes I am. My friend signed to play for Big State School and started driving a Mustang GT.. The ext year, we got the Death Penalty and I got to build homecoming floats for two soccer games.

Have you never watch him report on SMU that man gets pleasure from our pain. I would place money that he delights in our horrible seasons. Even when we win wfaa puts our segment last and it might be ...smu xxx won...cut to commercial. Right behind every other school and high school sports

The feigned sense of righteous indignation that SMU would actually pay athletes, what a fraud he was.
Dale was a big Husker fan. Read a book by Mike Trope, a super agent equal to Leigh Steinberg back in his day, about the truth of college athletics, including Tom Osborne.
Trope had Heisman winner & Nebraska Cornhuskers Johnny Rogers as a client.
Very eye-opening book and yes, I too will always look down on Dale Hansen. Always.

I grew up a Mustangs fan in Dallas and remember vividly when Hansen came to speak to our middle school class not long after the Death Penalty was announced. I have never been a fan of Hansen's and looking back, I remember how arrogant he was. I moved away from Texas (sacrilege, I know) after SMU and on a trip back one Christmas, ended up watching the Hansen Sports Special. I was surprised that he was still showing that grainy 1982 Thank God for Kids video at the end of the show. No matter how much of a [Patterson] he has been to our program, he get's it right once a year when he shows that video.
I hope bringing on HCCM will help the Hansen's, Galloways, Sherington's and Hitzges' see us in a new light. I won't hold my breath.
