I think a mention of appreciation for Tom Mason, the guy who stepped up for us when needed is certainly due. Today he’s the forgotten man. From my experience he’s always been a pretty good guy, easy to talk to, supportive of SMU and a pretty decent DC. While he bears his share of responsibility for our current situation I wish him well in the future. Good luck and get us a win at Connecticut.
Do you'all think that Morris will be at the game?

He'll probably be on the road recruiting.

Always respected Tom Mason and am thankful that he stepped up and tried to help. Unfortunately for Tom I think the ship had sailed and there was no way to go but down.

Without Tom Mason's defense forcing turnovers and keeping us in games we probably wouldn't have made a bowl game during the June Jones miracle. Good man who was put in an awful position. Best of luck to him wherever he goes.

Mason one of the few from the Jones debacle that the players actually liked and respected. Appreciate what he did under the circumstances.

June took a dump on mason by forcing him to be the head coach for this disaster of a team. Not that he is blame free, but he didn't deserve to have 0-10 as his coaching resume

So glad Hart took the time to thank him and so glad those in attendance gave him a big ovation. He didn't deserve to be thrown into the dumpster. This was June's mess and only he deserved to have his name highlighted through all of it.
Wish Mason the best of luck in the future.

Well said, I will be dropping him a note to thank him for being a class act through this season.
