Just wondering because it was mentioned that SMU, in announcing HCCM would also show a renewed commitment to athletics and a number of people believed that would also include IPF.

yeah Turner finally publically discussed that in DMN article by Nichols. Surprised that article hasn't made it here yet. Confirms the reason we don't have an IPF is logistics and June didn't want players to have to travel to get to facility

Logistics is RGT's excuse...get rid of the soccer stadium and put it there. Problem solved. The soccer stadium and natatorium can be off campus as no one attends those events anyway. Football followed by Basketball are the priorities.

Unless we want Title IX problems, we can't get rid of track, swimming or soccer. Until they are moved to the East Campus, we can't demolish their facilities.

Probably a stupid question... why can't we put it where the current practice field is and build vertically?

Comment from Josh LeRibeus on the article. He says it is laughable to say we have the best academic support in our conference and points to TCU as proof. I did not really follow the logic.

I think the part about using the current practice field is a good question and I haven't heard it discussed. When I roughed out the dimensions of another schools if in google earth over the practice fields it seemed to just barely fit.

Why would the location of the IPF be up to to a coach and not the AD? Put it on current practice facility.

Glad to see someone publicly place responsibility on JJ for the lack of the IPF.

So right now, to find a place where you can move a track is incredibly difficult
Not really, RGT considering we don't have a track and field program anymore! Quit the excuses and get the damned thing done already
