EVERYTHING points to that date:

SMU at Michigan

CM will be in his fourth year (which is usually a coach"s best year). TV contracts are up that year. Realignment might occur (one last time). Could be the most important game since UT victory in 1980.

I would be ecstatic if we could hold on to Morris for four years...

honestly lets say he keeps this hot streak going pulls in a ton of kids and we start winning a lot of games. Do you guys really think we wouldn't pony up whatever it took to keep him here? I just feel like we would

Thats what im thinking honestly. If he builds this program to the heights we are all dreaming for I assume we would pay him at least a top 15 salary. Then why would he even want to go to UT or A&M? I get the prestige thing but if he built this program into what we all want IDK why he would leave.

On that date we will probably have shut down the football program due to the repeat of failures!

Cm will go back to high school coaching.

He is an Aggie, if they wanted him we wouldn't be able to keep him I'd imagine. But any other team wemight be able to make a case against - especially since he is loving Dallas recruiting.

Great call out on the Michigan game. Great visibility nationally for SMU in the Big House. Plus, I am certain I will be attending that game.

My son is a Mustang too, but my daughter-in-law (and mother of my Mustang/Wolverine grandson-to-be, who arrives this coming February) will demand equal time. ;-D

Should be a great event for SMU and our family!

Depends on whether you subscribe to the theory that those UT victories in the 80s contributed directly to us getting the DP. If so, important might be the right word, just not in a positive light! :)

we really have to hope Sumlin does well at A$M because that's how we eventually lose Chad. Just hope it's not a one and done if Chad takes us to a bowl game next year

What if Sumlin does well and heads to the NFL then we'd lose Chad anyway right?
