This is why the Big 12 needs a Championship

TCU is #3

Baylor is #6

Baylor beat TCU by 3 points

Baylor lost to WVU

TCU beat WVU

They need a championship game so there's no controversy. They'll end up getting pressured to add one. This is good for SMU because they will need to add teams.

Yes I know we have a very small shot of the Big 12 becoming our P5 option. But anyone expanding is good news.

I don't like conferences with divisions. A conference should have a round robin. It's the most fair way. A conference needs to figure out a statistical way to have 1 representative when that is needed like for a playoff system, a REAL playoff system.
Overtime needs to be removed too. I hate overtime.

Actually that's the reason why the Big 12 doesn't need a championship (and won't add one regardless of imaginary "pressure"). Their model works.

In a way, even if the Big 12 had a playoff system, the controversy might still exist. Suppose UT, Tech, Baylor, West Virginia and TCU made up the south, and OU, OState, KU, Kstate, IState made up the north. It would be the two teams in the south, Baylor and TCU, now in contention. With OU's defeat today, none of the north teams would even be in the Top 25. Playoff wouldn't help deal with the BU-TCU situation right now.

Congrats to your Toads on their win today. Are you going to their CFP semifinal game?

Big 12 does not need a championship game. They will get one team in now regardless. They don't want to be in a position like FSU is in now to where they would be in if they just finished the regular season undefeated but now they have to play an extra game against GT.

easy for the committee- no championship- no consideration. Why should those that back off of a final head-to-head be recognized? All of the other P5s do it.

Every team in the conference plays each so they do have head to head competition in the Big 12.

all of the P5 conferences have a play-off except b12. They didn't want one because the whorens were afraid of not winning all of the time. Why should they get different consideration than all of those conferences that aren't afraid to have a championship game?

kind of like the chinese laundry man- no tickee, no washee.

The Big 12 is terrible and everybody seems to know it except the committee.

It will be hilarious if Baylor and TCU both make it somehow.

Big 12 is bad. Look at OOC vs P5. Probably 4th conference
