While in Stillwater, Carroll designed and directed the strength program for the OSU women’s basketball program that advanced to the Sweet 16 in the 2007 NCAA Tournament. He also assisted in the strength and conditioning program with the OSU football team that won the 2006 Independence Bowl and the 2007 Insight.Com Bowl.

As an athlete, Carroll was a member of the Oklahoma State football program from 2001-2005 as a defensive end. During his career, he helped guide the Cowboys to three consecutive bowl games. The team won the Houston Bowl in 2002 with a 33-23 win over Southern Miss, and it qualified for the Cotton Bowl the following season, where it fell to Eli Manning and Ole’ Miss, 31-28. In 2004, OSU played in the Alamo Bowl, where it dropped a 33-7 decision to Ohio State.

Carroll received his Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification in May 2007 and his USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Certification in February 2008. He earned his bachelor of science degree in business administration from Oklahoma State in Dec. 2005.

Looks good to me. Not everyone has/needs a fireworks internet presence.

Great mentor in Rob Glass, and unlike Mel he actually holds multiple certifications.

Like it, we need some diversity on the staff which June never did address.

I wish we could have brought Vic back, but I don't imagine we can match his salary at FSU.

Embody also tweeting how great June was. Guess this means he is batting .500 today.

Claude Mathis was in the coaches office at Grand Prairie H S yesterday. Had his SMU embossed portfolio, etc. - Staff is obviously visiting every Texas high school if they showed up at GP. Is nothing - nothing - like the loose cannon on game night. Very pleasant, professional, on-point individual. I understand why he was hired - I just hope this turns out well.

Based on what we saw this year, I would say that the S&C coach is a critical hire. I hope he works out.

We could've gone to any random GNC and hired the guy working there and it wouldn't have been worse than what we had in place this season. I'm sure the new guy will be a huge breath of fresh air for the team and the program.
