They should but this isn't exactly evidence of it. These new games could be pretty far off.

I would love us to play Colorado on an ongoing basis. Allowing me to see them here every couple of years

No, I don't think these games have anything to do with SMU, although I could be wrong.

I think this would be a mistake on their part. Yes this year SMU was dreadful, but we have been to four bowl games in the last six years and beat them in FW back in 2011. Morris can and will get this program back to being a respectable non-conference opponent. It would be a shame if TCU did this but honestly I can see the rationale behind doing it.
I think there is a good chance that both Baylor and TCU buy their way out of all future meetings. If they do, SMU should hold their feet to the fire for the most money they can squeeze out of them and try to schedule some interesting P5 schools that want a game every other year in Dallas.

We are a lose-lose for them. They beat us.... so what. The u lose-humiliation. And we don't bring fans.

I don't blame them if they do. But likewise, we should start looking at scheduling some ACC schools we can beat - North Carolina, NC State, Wake Forest, Boston College, Pitt, Syracuse, etc. We could probably have good showings against Duke, VT, Miami, maybe Clemson after a couple of years.

Yep, most likely has about as much to do with SMU as SMU scheduling Michigan had to do with TCU.

its a cheap trip across town and an almost guaranteed W against a 100 year old rival. Granted now they are in a conference full of 100 year old rivals so playing us probably has lost a great deal of its luster. It would be a shame though. But look at Texas vs. Texas A&M. Who would've ever thought.

That won't happen. That series was created as a contingency against TCU dropping us. They are a local program that will bring fans and help with attendance. UNT will be our new TCU.

I have to totally disagree with you there. If that is the case we need to drop football now. They don't travel that well and no one at SMU cares at all about playing UNT. See how many SMU fans traveled to Denton this season, and that was before we knew how bad things were about to become. We have a hundred years of tradition with TCU. That is and will always be a rivalry.
