So will the special teams coach be one of these guys in a dual capacity?

The responsibilities will be divided up and shared by the staff.

I'm confused by the staff assignments. While not always the case, in the past, more experience in a given field, typically lends itself to higher "level" positions. Yet, it seems the responsibilities here, have little, if any, bearing on what these coaches are doing.

There's a coach that's been around longer than most of the guys combined, who's an assistant. A 3x head high school coach that's looking after the running backs, and a guy with barely any experience who's the offensive coordinator.

What am I missing?

CM is the offensive coordinator, don't kid yourself. He brought along his helper from Clemson and gave him a title.

Was there not much money left to hire assistants? Is this staff costing as much as all of JJ's buddies did?

Or what's the # of coaches allowed to be on a staff? Didn't they say the budget was bugger for assts and CM took a smaller base to add to that pool?

That was to get Jeff Scott. He got the promotion at Clemson, so he didn't come. In theory, the money is/was still there, it's just not being fully utilized.
