So when does burcham depart for ewu?by my count this puts him at 3rd string with severt on his heels. Wouldn't be surprises to see Cassel end up there in all seriousness..isn't he from NE Washington?
I think burcham can likely play, he just needs a new scheme and it wasn't fair to throw a pocket passer out there. I think he can get redemption somewhere else, especially with a medical rs

Cassell & Burcham still waiting for Jones to land a job. He's the only one that understands their brain maps.

Footballdad I'm surprised no one has asked you this, but is your son currently on the roster or was he part of the JJ regime? I know its beating a dead horse but I'm curious because I'm interested to get a closer look at jjs recruiting tactics and the general view of the team towards him/his staff

Kidding right? Great young men with great brains, don't quite fit the scheme.

Attacking Jones ....... sure.

No more recruiting insights that any SMU football fan doesn't already know. No effort, simple as that.

Country club culture plain & simple. June a nice guy, a little strange, aloof, arrogant, isolated. Lack of respect for a good many coaches either for obvious incompetence, or perceived favoritism, or lack of effort. Lots of splintered groups, offense vs defense issues, sense of the overall TEAM concept seriously lacking.

Could go on & on & on & on but let's not.

A new culture and vision alone will make a world of difference. Throw in effective schemes, competent coaching, and effective strength & conditioning.....the future should be bright.

We aren't going to sign another QB for the Spring. Davis, Hicks, Burcham, Cassel, Severt, Colbert to start the spring. I bet all of them want things to try to work out. They will stick around for the Spring, and inside of a week, Morris will give all of the reps to the top three and the rest will be looking to transfer on their own or switch positions.
