Did anybody have their required Mustang Club donation go up A LOT ... like $1,500 .... or am I missing something here?

It might be the increase in your basketball donation. The invoice I received had my full donation for football and basketball plus the football tickets. The donation was not broken out so it might be easy to miss why it went up if you are not aware.

Yes, they included your increased bball donation but not bball tickets. I heard there were some typos though. One guy got a $65,000 invoice instead of $6500.

This doesn't seem consistent with what we were told. I have 3 tickets in Section 105 and they are asking for the $500 per ticket instead of the posted $500 per block of 4. Plus they said in the basketball replan that up to $1000 of football would apply to basketball. Guess I need to call and find out what is up.

All bball season tickets are per seat donation now (no more 'blocks of four'). Up to $1000 of your basketball donation will also count towards football. So three seats at $500 a piece is $1500, which gives you $1000 in 'credit' towards fball seating donations.

Bball required donation is included on the football invoice.

The whole concept of how SMU is handling newfound success in basketball with regard to future ticket prices is comical, if not completely sad. Hearing anecdotal stuff about longtime donors (football, basketball, otherwise) dropping their seats in Moody, threatening to stop coming to the Boulevard, and even changing their estate plans due to how frustrated they are with the handling of the price increases.

Now, some of that is likely just bluster and momentary anger, but if a small part of it sticks, it's going to be a real problem.

If it's just a small part, that would be what is expected any time prices change. They know there will be fall out, but there will also be infill. They wouldn't have raised my seat price $15k if they didn't think someone was right behind me to pay it.

I agree. I just think they are wrong thinking someone else will fill it.

Not to mention it was done a season too early.
