Just heard Chris DelConte, their AD, say in an open house over there that as long as he works for TCU and as long as SMU is willing, the TCU/SMU series will continue forever. Says the history is too good to forget, and that the new SMU Coach is top-notch.

Good news. I expect us to be competitive with them in 2016 when they come back to Ford and have to replace Boykin. Maybe that's a little ambitious but like Chad, I'm not taking a back seat to anyone.

Any mention if Patterson will start helping us out again?

To this day that press conference is one of the funniest things ever. He acted like such a child. Although, in fairness, he did call June and apologize later in the week.
I think the issue was June said TCU "doesn't change" and meant it in a complimentary way saying they're always a good team, but without context Patterson thought it was a slight.

You should be nicer to Gary Patterson because he and he alone is the driving force behind TCU keeping SMU on the schedule. Increasingly, the fans don't want the game. Only Gary does. Chris Delconte is just saying what Gary told him to say.

He'll be willing to help us as long as he doesn't consider Morris a threat.

Really? I'm friends with several former TCU players and they all told me that Patterson hates SMU and doesn't really like having us on the schedule.

I'm glad this is the case. It's too big of a rivalry to dismiss. The rest of the game has abandoned tradition, let's keep a small part of it.

In an era where traditional rivals have stopped scheduling each other across the country, it's good to hear that this will continue.
