Speed and size. The new commit they got today combined with the ones they signed in February just makes me almost giddy.

The coaches are determined to get rid of all of these small WR's...

We have done well with a 5'9" point guard. Can any of them play basketball?

Give HCCM 3 recruiting class and SMU will be ready to roll with just about anybody.

Beat me to it.

I was going to say:

JJ only needed 1 1/2, why should we give HCCM 3?

This might be aggressively optimistic, but I think we find our way to six wins and a bowl in 2015

I am firmly in the "just let it go" crowd, but you have to admit jabs like this are just too hard to let pass by... :)

Well if you think the fill in opponent is going to be a patsy, and we can beat NTSU at home, you have to find four more wins on the schedule. Would be interested in where you think those are.

USF, Tulsa, Temple, Tulane.

We're more likely to beat ECU than Temple. Temple returns every starter from the #4 ranked defense in the country.

6 wins minimum and a bowl. UNT, TBD, Tulsa, Temple, Tulane, and either Navy or USF.

We are going to be way better at QB, because Davis fits the system like a glove and if Hicks beats him out is going to be because Hicks is incredible. Better on the OL as well because of more experience/growth. And obviously we have added playmakers. And the entire team will bump up a level by actually participating in the S&C program.

Don't forget that going into last year everyone thought our front 7 defensively was going to be a strength based on past performance, but they got pushed around because of the S&C program. The 1 technique is a big hole to fill, but otherwise, we have a lot of players that fit the 4-3 DE and the 3 techniques a lot better than the 3-4. That is going to have a very positive impact on defense.

Let's not go crazy now...

If we get to 6 wins, it will involve more than just better coaching and playing. Don't undersell Temple, and countering Navy with a schedule filled with no other opponent who play that style is difficult as well. I am hoping for 6 wins and a bowl, but this is just he beginning. I know the former succeeded in a short period of time, but that was in a weaker league and our expectations are much greater this time. The ceiling of success for JJ is the floor for HCCM, and he has already embraced that. Give it the time it needs and enjoy the ride. In 4-5 years, we will be a viable big contender with the opportunity to go P5 readily available with them knocking on our door, not the other way around. And if UH goes gangsta and mugs some conference into admitting them and we are the and 1, so be it. We are not now in the position to turn down that offer...then beat UH in every major sport and rub it in their faces.

The former coach went 1-11 his first season in that weaker league.
