While SMU night sounds great. I wish they'd bring back, at least once, nickel beer night for a Yankee's game. That was my favorite remembrance while at SMU of major league baseball in Dallas from the early 1970's. The left field bleachers was a gas that night !

It will be mostly ignored by SMU fans. Then next year when UTA replaces us and every other local school is still included, there will be 5 pages on PF complaining about why we're never included in anything.

I know this is a bad excuse. But it is terrible timing for SMU students schoolwork wise. However I guess there is really no good time because if they make it any later, everyone will be on summer break

It's just the Rangers Not like anyone will notice. If they were in Dallas where they belong they would draw more than flies and wouldn't be so chronically also rans.

Probably right. There were certainly a large number of posts griping when we were not included last year.

Next Tuesday night is UH night but no special hat.
One of the coaches, Bannister, is a Coog. Good looking hat BTW. Wish we shared the same night and I could get that hat. No, I'm not going two nights in a row.

I would give my eye teeth to be able to go to this game. Conflict central that night.

That's my big criticism of Arlington Stadium (or whatever it's called this season). It should have been located in Dallas and not in the Mid-Cities. I say that even though I live in Bedford. I also realize they located it where it is so that Ft Worth fans could get there easier. Overall, attendance would be better if it was located in Dallas. A Dallas location could have been placed on a DART line giving fans better access.
Notwithstanding, everyone in my family is a Rangers fan. My wife and I will be at the game on SMU night on Monday.

Is there any effort on campus (e-mails, flyers) to market to students and get those without conflicts to the game?

I'm planning to go, but the weather doesn't look very good. Could be a rainout.
