Vito put the two new hires last. Most likely because Morris and Herman are untested, but also probably because his readers like when he trolls SMU

I always thought Kingsbury / TTU was trash but everyone has them rated pretty highly. What gives?

I agree, but Morris has never won a single game as a HC in college. Until he starts winning, should he really be ranked ahead of guys with Big Wins like Coker & Franchione?

I like the DMN trolling us...I just don't want them to jump on the bandwagon like they did in BBall once we start winning big in a couple of years.

I would put multiple state titles and Clemson Coordinator body of work ahead of Kingsbury. David Bailiff might deserve to be #3 on that list. What he has done at Rice is amazing.

I agree on Bailiff. He has done a better job for less than idiot boy did for us.

Btw - I think Coach Bro is overrated, but felt the UTSA and Texas State staff were underrated.

Until Hermann and Morris win games as HC at the college level, I don't think they can be rated. They could turn into Art Briles or Todd Dodge? We are going to find out.

What on earth has SMU done in the past season to garner this respect that is expected?

DMN is about selling newspapers, and that is a hard enough job now days. SMU has to earn respect...it is not given for 30 years ago, or for 5 seasons past. If we become a story, the DMN will be there in spades.

Win, and 'respect' will come.

poor UTEP Coach took an awful program to a Bowl and gets picked last.

SMU had it's choice between Chad & Herman. They interviewed both, took the more highly regarded and paid him significantly more money.

Our local paper should know this, yet they still ranked Herman somewhat higher.

No big surprise, just another day at the office for the DMN.
