Talk about trying too hard... there is absolutely no real rivalry there and that little "trophy" is a disgrace to real college football rivalries... the worst part is that it's a blatant, pussified ripoff of the "Civil War" between Oregon and Oregon State.

Real college football rivalries have real prizes...

They are getting mocked unmercifully on twitter.

UCONN can form a rivalry with Temple, the "never gonna get into the ACC bowl." SMU and UH can do the same with the Big 12.

At least with Rice it's a game that's been played 90 times. We have played them more than anyone outside of TCU.

Civil "Conflict" is worse than Red River "Rivalry"
