I looked at the Sporting News last night and not one Pony on the first or second team All-AAC.

The only defensive candidates that I think have a shot at making All-Conference are Zach Wood and Shaq Randolph. Maybe Zelt Minor if he can adjust to playing inside.

Virtually every one of them played better than Laseski

Phil Steele is taking last years performance in this analysis, clown. Does not mean none of them will make the year end all AAC team. Matt Davis will be there and so will a few others and Xavier Castille will be frosh of the year.

I think we are going to surprise some people. Not necessarily "bowl eligible" surprised but I think there will be some who shine that no one outside of the 1500 have even heard of. And I bet the coaching staff is loving the low expectations this year.

I just want to see a different team in week five than week one and a different team in week eleven than week five. We're going to be playing a ton of young players. Young players make mistakes. Wins to me are not as important as getting some of these young players valuable experience this year in order to give us a shot at a bowl game and 7 plus wins in 2016. If we happen to accelerate that learning curve and win 5 games or more this year then I'm going to be over the moon happy. I'll also be happy if we end up 3-9 but the arrow is pointing straight up at the end of the season and we can see a markedly improved on the field product when the season is over.

It's not simply that we were 1-11.

Over halfway through the season, it was a distinct possibility that we would become the most out scored team in the history of college football.

Take away USF & UConn and we were out scored 462-93, that's over 40 points a game.

Pre-Season doesn't matter, Post-Season Awards do. Show 'em on the field, let's go 'Stangs!

Davis, Gaines, Sutton, Briggs, Gentry, Rhone, and Shaq will make one of the 4 teams at the end of the season.

SMT has the correct approach to this season.
3 wins isn't bad if we are gelling by the end of the year.
If it's still a giant cluster, then that's another thing.

I would rather go 0-12 and have a Top 50 recruiting class than go 5-7 with a #75 ranked recruiting class.

I do hope the AD has some type of marketing campaign in place other than the freshness of a new HC to draw fans to Ford. With our conference mates, this will be a perpetual issue for as long as we are in the AAC.
