Was just looking at season ticket prices for 2015 and it looks like they've moved the students to the end of the stadium on the visitor's side (it's the white section on the map)

According to another discussion on this, the consensus is there is a mistake on the published seating chart and nothing has changed.

Actually, it has changed. They are moving band and students down to grassy knoll end. There is going to be some kind of party pavilion over there too, I have heard.

It kind of makes sense, and as I mentioned on the previous thread it didn't seem right to have the visitors nearest to the food trucks, etc.

F ... me! I just bought two seats next to the (old) student section. It was part of my master plan to recruit a No Star 2016 OG and a 2025 5- Star QB to the Hilltop! I figured my nephews would enjoy sitting next to the Students.

Just go into the ticket office in person and tell them what's up. If you were trying to get near the students and they moved the students, they should be willing to move you.

Yeah. I imagine there is plenty of inventory remaining to satisfy this request.

Part of the reason they were moved initially is because the horseshoe should be the loudest part of the stadium. Even if there are just a smidgen of travelling fans, if they bring their band they will make a lot of noise. Now our band will not be able to be heard that well and the students are going to be even quieter. Please reference where A&M puts our folks and band when we visit them.

Yes. I was able to move my seats next to the student section without a problem. My nephews will be happy.

WELLLLLLLL, looks like us YA will be battling off the riff-raff. Thought I would have a nice quite area to enjoy the game ( I kid, but really we know) and I was looking forward to sundress season, not t-shirt dresses.

Why was the Student Section moved away from the horseshoe?

That's what the students wanted. Plans to add some features in new area to encourage attendance for 4 quarters.
