Looks as if the football players in the conference don't think much about SMU. The players poled selected Texas A&M, BYU, Houston, Nebraska. Of others receiving votes were Texas State and UCF. We didn't get any votes.

No reason to expect smu to get love right now. It's not 1982. Hopefully things get rolling again soon.

The thing is they would have had the same reaction about TCU and West Virgina before they were there...

That's honestly the stupidest list I've ever seen for Big 12 expansion. Aside from Houston and BYU none make any sense at all no matter how you look at it. I'm sure Nebraska and A&M are dying to join.

Way, way back there I remember the father or stepfather of a DL who never played much if any and who kept getting hurt and finally gave up football. I don't remember the player's name but the dad might have been an ER doctor who posted as "Iron Pony," although a search did not give me a result for that screen name.

Anyway, as long as his son was on the roster I remember him as a constant, enthusiastic and supportive about the about the coaches, team, and program, to say nothing of his son's chances. Maybe his posts were deleted when his son quit.

There are a few posters who have made this site unbearable. I'll continue to check in but Rivals/Scout is a far, far better use of your time. The mods let the inmates run the asylum here. Been on a steady decline for a year.

I could give a rat's [deleted] what the players in the Big 12 think. They are not on my team. They are the enemy. Skrew'em. Plus, what they think actually makes no difference in the end. They will not be consulted.

He said he was going away last week but just keeps coming back, whining and touting other sites.
