I wonder if Morris is OK with half full for most of our games this season.

Does he realize most of his fanbase has to work night and weekend shifts?

If Morris was shocked by last year's team, or June's recruiting.....his head is going to explode when he actually sees the lack of support for the program.
Filling that stadium is by far his biggest challenge.

I would be shocked if he wasn't aware of that issue. However, fans don't really enjoy watching a team go 1-11. I really don't understand how you can say what you say when your son is part of that team that went 1-11.

June had good support when he first got here. He alienated a lot of people who were long-time season ticket holders with some of the shenanigans that went on.
I have a feeling that between LB and CM building an SMU community and CM showing so much love for Dallas that we will see a decent uptick this year.

Winning (I mean really winning - not backing into 6 wins) will cure attendance. We like in a market with tons of choices. Bad college football does not excite anyone. In Lubbock for example there is no choice. In Dallas there is nothing but choices.

at what point did moody start selling out? how many games into the LB era? im thinking the students got behind the team & LB and made it a good environment, consistently, before romo was showing up and we were competing for the conference.
i dont imagine the mob (13-14 version) is a bunch of people that only like basketball, and these are easier tickets to get...
i think if we can survive baylor w/ pride intact, the UNT game will be moody-esque and if we trounce them, that momentum can carry through the rest of our home slate, as none of the remaining teams that come to ford are going to be kicking our asses.

We'd need 50%-60% of all of our DFW alumni to purchase season tickets or buy game-day tickets to fill up Ford Stadium on our own...not ever going to happen with any alumni-base in the history of the world...if he is shocked by a half-full stadium against unrecognizable teams, he's an idiot. He's smarter than that.
What's the plan to capture the rest of DFW? Talking at coaching conferences and interviewing with Newy Scruggs isn't going to cut it. Unless an aggressive, high-$$ marketing campaign, with commercials, billboards schedule banners, and radio ads is rolled out real soon, he's going to have to win full-stadiums the old-fashioned way...exciting football, memorable victories and achievements, season-after-season.
