OFFENSIVE LINE

Postby jpe747 » Fri Jul 31, 2015 3:18 pm

I just read some statements on twitter about fb camps. This response came from OL/DL Wagener-Salley HS student Bryson Shealey:

"but gotta recommend SMU bc I worked out w/ their OL coach and some of the best work I've ever gotten."

That speaks volumes about what our linemen are learning. Perhaps we will have a better OL than I have been expecting.

That sure would go a long way to some better results this fall!

An actual S&C program + considerably better coaching = much improved 2015 OL

Might not be able to tell from the Baylor game, though. Oakman, Blackshear, and Billings are a tall order for any OL

Yep, two top 10 teams in the first four games is brutal.

Good press and word-of-mouth are great...but I also find it funny we are getting giddy about a HS player saying it was a great workout.

I just happened to meet one of the upperclassmen football players the other day and he said that he thought that some of the incoming freshman offensive linemen could really help the line this year.

Thanks to the "diamond in the rough" recruiting by the coach who shall not be named.

Agreed. Nonetheless, I was very disappointed in the line last year and feel part of that disappointment came from a coaching staff that were let down by a head coach (not to be named). And, I think our current coaches are taking the kids way beyond anything they have had in the past. So yes! We are giddy!
