One win with poor recruiting will do this. Will make the rise even sweeter.

That's awful for the conference, but not shocking seeing as how bad we all were last year

It's totally meaningless.

NCAA should ban rankings until teams are several games into district play. It would be interesting to see an analysis of the major polls preseason v. final

Except that the final is a derivative of the preseason. It's harder to get in than out.

Is this any different than the NCAA bracket projections already out?

District play? Is that before or after prom?

That is somewhat like the college football playoff selection committee does it now.

My impression is that they use your W/L from the previous season to start(?) your strength of schedule evaluation...which is basically what a preseason poll is anyway. This team will have very little to do with the team last year player-wise, scheme-wise, conditioning-wise, etc. The results could be the same, but there isn't a reason to assume so right off the bat. And plenty of programs have new coaches, or recruitment programs that don't automatically reload every year. I just feel that any attempt to tie a team to a previous team is bogus. See the steer before you score it.

Well if we win district then we get to go to the bi-district playoff game....afterwards let's go to DQ and pick fights with the neighboring town.

Fantastic. Should be easy to exceed expectations.
