SMU RB legend Reggie Dupard '82-85 has been asked to serve as the honorary team captain for the NT Game on September 12th. Now, that's some major MOJO...

Fantastic that they are honoring such an outstanding Mustang.

I think my statement below is correct, but I'm not 100% sure.

When Reggie Dupard arrived at SMU, Ron Meyer had just left as HC; however Craig James was still a teammate.

Reggie was a 1st round draft pick of the NE Patriots.

Ron Meyer was the previous HC of NE, but had just left a year or two prior. He was replaced by HOFer Raymond Berry, a former Mustang. One of Reggie's teammates with the Patriots was Craig James.
