Re: Review of scrimmage and open scrimmage next weekI like Coach Morris because just listening to him gets you ready for some football.

Re: Review of scrimmage and open scrimmage next weekI'll be there next week. Heard about this week but am out of town...
Re: Review of scrimmage and open scrimmage next weekGlad to here Coach say QB Matt Davis and the offensive line are looking good. Huge improvement there will be a real positive for the season. We all know Matt has the talent to make things happen once he gets this offense down, and has the support around him .

It's certainly possible Davis could set some records this season. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Review of scrimmage and open scrimmage next weekI find it amusing how half the people on here downtalked davis last year
Re: Review of scrimmage and open scrimmage next week
He, along with everyone else on offense, was dreadful last season unless it was a broken play scramble or a designed run. I saw very little out of him last year that made me think he can be a consistently productive QB. That said, I think everyone on the team should get a pass on what happened last season. I'm hopeful that Morris' scheme will maximize Davis' skill set unlike the R&S. Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Review of scrimmage and open scrimmage next weekNext Saturday's scrimmage is at 10:15.
Re: Review of scrimmage and open scrimmage next week
Good records or bad records? Bo Levi Mitchell helped set a record... , but he also bounced back in a different system and is now doing well in the CFL. For Jones, Davis was a hope to cover up bad recruiting, but in this offense he will have a chance to excel or at the very least play to his strengths. I am drinking the HCCM kool-aide that Davis will be remarkably better this year with the weapons around him.
Re: Review of scrimmage and open scrimmage next weekAdd much better receivers and a system that favors a mobile QB and i think you will see a different looking Davis. However - that doesn't mean we will get it done except against a small handful of very weak teams. But the improvement will be noticeable in the first game would be my guess.
At the very least we run off a bunch more clock on offense, just by having a higher percentage of run plays. That will mean opponents the score fewer points against us, so it will feel better even if it is not.
