I like Coach Morris because just listening to him gets you ready for some football.

Glad to here Coach say QB Matt Davis and the offensive line are looking good. Huge improvement there will be a real positive for the season. We all know Matt has the talent to make things happen once he gets this offense down, and has the support around him .

It's certainly possible Davis could set some records this season.

He, along with everyone else on offense, was dreadful last season unless it was a broken play scramble or a designed run. I saw very little out of him last year that made me think he can be a consistently productive QB. That said, I think everyone on the team should get a pass on what happened last season. I'm hopeful that Morris' scheme will maximize Davis' skill set unlike the R&S.

Good records or bad records? Bo Levi Mitchell helped set a record... , but he also bounced back in a different system and is now doing well in the CFL. For Jones, Davis was a hope to cover up bad recruiting, but in this offense he will have a chance to excel or at the very least play to his strengths. I am drinking the HCCM kool-aide that Davis will be remarkably better this year with the weapons around him.

Add much better receivers and a system that favors a mobile QB and i think you will see a different looking Davis. However - that doesn't mean we will get it done except against a small handful of very weak teams. But the improvement will be noticeable in the first game would be my guess.
At the very least we run off a bunch more clock on offense, just by having a higher percentage of run plays. That will mean opponents the score fewer points against us, so it will feel better even if it is not.
