DALLAS (SMU) - With the season opener less than three weeks away, the SMU Mustangs will hold an open scrimmage, Saturday, Aug. 22, starting at 10:15 a.m. in Ford Stadium. Season ticket holders, lettermen and fans are all invited and will be allowed on the field following the game to greet the coaches and student-athletes.

There are seven games on the SMU campus this fall. SMU opens the season on Friday, Sept. 4, when the Mustangs host Baylor in an ESPN-televised game, and then will host its Centennial Celebration and Homecoming on Sept. 26 against James Madison. SMU opens home league play on Oct. 3, hosting East Carolina. The "Boo-levard" returns in 2015, as SMU will host a home game on Halloween, Oct. 31, when Tulsa comes to Dallas. The match-up with the Golden Hurricane will also serve as Family Weekend. SMU will host its second Friday-night game of the year on Nov. 6 when Temple comes to Ford Stadium for an ESPN2-televised game, and SMU hosts Tulane for Senior Day on Nov. 21.

Shoot, I'll be out of town.

I hope a lot of folks show up. And someone can provide a very detailed report. Hint, hint. :-)

Yes, Austin is out of town isn't it. I'm sure it will be well covered here.
