Luncheon

Postby JasonB » Tue Aug 18, 2015 3:07 pm

I thought it was great! Lots of people - at least as big as the peak under June, probably a little bigger than that even.

I have always left the luncheons in the past feeling like I got some great information. This time I felt like I wanted to get out on the field and hit someone. Coach Morris is fantastic.

Agreed. This was the first time I've been able to attend and it was awesome. Chad definitely gets you fired up. Let's start playing already!!!!

Not long to go before the first game.

Definitely ready for the season. First time I've ever been to one and I think they are totally worth it. We had Caleb and David Johnson (the Corner transfer from Missouri) at our table. David said that he has never been part of a losing team and doesn't plan to start now. Very refreshing and both were great guys. I had to leave right after Morris was done speaking, is there typically a reception afterwards? I saw another room open by the doors when I came in and wasn't sure if that was a before/after the event deal. Thanks in advance.

Don't know if there is typically or not, but as soon as it let out the guys were getting on a bus to head for Children's Hospital to visit. Just a great event overall.

Well, someone was really motivated post lunch...posted his 9-4 prediction to HCCM on twitter. "So you're saying there's a chance! "

Yeah, I saw a bunch of people in a room too when showed up at noon, so maybe it was then. I saw the team was leaving as I was.

Event sponsors had a reception beforehand.

One observation - Tony Richards has gained 40 lbs - that dude looks like he is going to be a hoss.

Great crowd. Bigger than any I have attended. Players looked more like real players than before also.

Everyone looks much bigger and fit. Matt Davis actually looked like he had lost weight, but talking to him he put on weight, is 212 and dropped his body fat down to 6%. He is absolutely ripped.

I talked to Crawford afterwards and he echoed the comments shared by Coach Morris that the offensive line actually looks good, not just improved over Spring.

Can an old person please explain the difference between a lunch and a luncheon? I'm in my 20s.

I ate a hunk of meat and a hunk of cheese for lunch today while working at my desk. Several people went to an auditorium to listen to some people speak about SMU football and were served a meal at the luncheon.

Hopefully I qualify as old.

You can eat lunch but you can't eat a luncheon.
