Well the Baptists might be high and mighty now, but give us another couple of years under HCCM and there won't be this blasé approach to playing SMU.

It would be hard for anyone to argue against these points:

SMU is perhaps at the lowest point is has ever been.
Baylor absolutely decimated the Mustangs last season, and there is little reason to think anything will be different.:
Games like this are a difficult sell for Baylor. The Bears have nothing to prove, but need to play well to save face.
...Baylor will have zero trouble with this team...Regardless of whether SMU hits or not, Baylor is simply too talented for SMU to have any real chance.


However, I would really love the team to come out with a huge chip and punch Baylor square in the jaw. With any luck every Bear player would have read that and assume this year's squad will be a cakewalk like last season. Result - close game with Baylor leaving its starters in through the 4th. Wishful thinking I know.

I can see this if Baylor is not taking this one seriously, but maybe realistically only into the 3rd.
